Total Waste Management Software Managed the development and implementation of the TWM® waste and resource tracking software This system is now used by a number of Australia’s largest organisations to track waste management from a regulatory, commercial and environmental perspective. The system was selected by the Australian government for exhibition at the recent World Expo held in Japan

Mass balance for schedule 4 PIW waste treatment facilities in Victoria Prepared a contaminant mass balance for the Schedule 4 PIW Waste treatment facilities in Victoria The project tracked the movement of assessable contaminants from the waste generators through the schedule 4 PIW treatment facilities
Management of PIW in Victoria - Immobilisation Training Developed and presented a chemical immobilisation assessment training program for EPA staff to assist with the assessment of Immobilisation Approval application Assisted EPA Victoria staff adopting best practice methodologies in assessing contaminant immobilisation applications
Review of foundry sands management in Victoria Performed a review of foundry sands management in Victoria, including review of existing generators, practices and recommendations for future management Provided EPA Victoria with suggestions on how best to manage foundry sands
Treatment of hazardous/radioactive wastes at a uranium mine Performed a major hazardous chemical contamination cleanup This project involved the segregation of wastes and thermal destruction of hydrocarbon impacted materials.

Copper chrome arsenate (CCA) waste (As, Cr6+) Developed and implemented a chemical fixation and solidification treatment technology The project resulted in NSW DECC issuing an Immobilisation Approval and the material being successfully treated and disposed of in accordance with the approval
Rare earth contaminated residues from a mineral processing operation in Malaysia Developed a chemical fixation and solidification treatment technology The application will allow the company to reuse the treated residue for a geotechnical stablilisation application

Review of landfill acceptance market in NSW Performed a technical and market review on wastes to be accepted at a high security landfill The project resulted in the development of options to expand the catchment of Industrial Wastes

Review of a aluminium by-product  liability after reprocessing Prepared an assessment of product liability associated by by-product reuse The project resulted in the client assessing its commercial risk management strategies to limit liability.

Liquid Waste Treatment facility Prepared an EPA Immobilisation Approval application for a client for their waste treatment facility This resulted in DECC issuing a draft Immobilisation Approval for the treatment of the residues generated from the treatment facility
Polyethylene reinforced magnesium oxide floor boards Performed an occupational health and safety review including a review of the regulatory requirements for the cutting of polyethylene reinforced magnesium oxide floor boards This resulted in the client developing a specification to import polyethylene reinforced magnesium oxide floor boards
